E-invoicing

Almost every country in Latin America requires an electronic invoicing, which has to be submitted to the respective authorities. Basically, only with a positive approval, the goods transfer can be initiated. In this context, it is irrelevant whether it is a delivery to a customer or a transfer of goods to another storage location. Without the “states blessing” the truck will be not allowed to move.

In order to avoid any significant problems with this sensitive “bottleneck”, the SAP System has to be perfectly prepared. Special master data preparation with numerous additional fields is one part of it, as well as a reliable connection to the respective authorities SEFAZ (Brazil or one of about 5.500 municipalities in case of service invoices, SAT (Mexico), AFIP (Argentina), SII (Chile), SUNAT (Peru), DIAN (Colombia), SRi (Ecuador).

SAP standard reaches the authorities either via an additional software GRC (in the case of Brazil) or via numerous interface formats:  PI (Argentina), IDOC (Mexico), eDocuments (Chile, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador).
